Schottland und London

Dieses Jahr hat es uns im Sommerurlaub nach Schottland verschlagen. Dort angekommen reisten wir per Mietauto durch das Land - entgegen des Uhrzeigersinnes, weite Teile der Küstenroute NC500 folgend und schlugen unser Zelt dort auf, wo es schön war. Schottland war wild, grau, grün, nass, bewölkt, windig, aber ganz wunderbar. Das einzig stetige am Licht und Wetter war der ständige Wechsel. Als Kontrastprogramm arbeiteten wir uns zum Ende der Reise hin in immer größere Städte vor - Stirling, Edinburgh und zum Abschluss zwei Tage London. Statt des Meeres rauschte hier der Verkehr, statt von Singvögeln kam die Musik von Straßenmusikern, und die Underground brachte stets neue Wellen an Menschen. Hier erkundeten wir die Stadt viel zu Fuß, besuchten das Tate Modern und Tate Britain und sahen uns am letzten Abend "The Tempest" in Shakespeare's Globe an. Trotz allem haben wir weder in Schottland und London "alles" gesehen - wir müssen wohl nochmal hin.
